Montreal, November 2025 — This year marks a significant milestone for Present: 35 years of commitment to innovation, collaboration, and client success. Founded in November 1990, right in the middle of a recession, when interest rates were 15% and the unemployment at 10%, Present started with a big idea and an even bigger heart: be there for clients, listen more than you talk, and build relationships rooted in trust and genuine understanding.
A Different World in 1990
- Phones were used to call people. Wild concept!
- TVs had 12 channels, and you had to stand up to change them.
- A bag of groceries cost $10 and tickets to the Habs were $23
- Marc Beaulieu launched Present in his twenties, armed with determination and a mission to treat clients better than the competition ever did.
From those early days of floppy disks and fax machines, Present has grown alongside and often ahead of the technology landscape. Over the decades, we’ve helped organizations navigate point‑of‑sale systems, email adoption, networking, Y2K fears (“the world might explode!”), virtualization, remote work, cloud transformation, and the new frontier of cybersecurity.
Why Reaching 35 Matters
The stats speak for themselves:
- 70% of companies don’t make it to 5 years.
- 90% don’t make it to 10.
- And 99.5% don’t make it to 35.
What’s our secret?
Our longevity comes down to one thing: people. Exceptional clients, trusted partners, and a passionate and talented team that share the belief that showing up, and truly being present matters.
“Our journey has always been about being present for our clients; listening, understanding, and delivering what they need to succeed,” said Marc Beaulieu, President and Founder. “Reaching 35 years is a testament to the trust and partnerships we’ve built.”
Looking Ahead
As we celebrate this milestone, our commitment remains unwavering; to innovate, adapt, and deliver solutions that help businesses thrive in an ever-changing world.
